Lil Wayne Sentencing

Lil 'Wayne is set to report for sentencing in his case of illegal possession of weapons at present. The New Orleans rapper, has definitely made the most of his last days of freedom, even taking time to participate in a new version of "We Are The World" to benefit Haiti. However, their holidays and make music now pauses when he is formally sentenced to one year in prison for weapons possession, MTV News reports. The charges stem from the arrest in July 2007 after police found a .40-caliber handgun in his tour bus. Wayne could have been saved for 15 years for the crime, but in October copped a plea deal, drastically reducing his sentence to one year.

According to MTV News, Wayne will report to jail immediately after sentencing today. He can not fulfill its entire mandate, however. It is hoped it will serve up to 10 months in prison, and there is a possibility to be granted early release for good behavior. And before you drop into oblivion, Lil 'Wayne made sure to say goodbye to their fans in a live online video this morning. The rapper spent nearly an hour thanking his fans for their support and to let them know how much I miss him.
